DIY Rudolph Gift Wrap Tutorial

It’s November and Christmas is coming and that means it’s time to get those decorations out and start shopping for presents (if you haven’t already). If you have, that great! You’re ahead of the game, and I have a special and fun way you can wrap one of your presents (or two… or maybe three *wink, wink*).

I have this tutorial just for you and your kids. You can let the kids wrap a present for their teacher, a friend, or a family member. This can also be for you! It’s all about the fun of it. Your kids will love it and may not want to open it! Just kidding, I’m sure they will be dying just to see what’s in that cool Rudolph wrap. Ha ha!

Either way, let’s make their Christmas this year more fun than ever! Who know’s, this could be a new traditional way of wrapping presents for the child(ren) in your family  (regardless the age;)).

Let’s get started!

Things you will need:

• 1 Box (I used a 6″ x 6″ x 6″ box)
• Brown Kraft Paper
• Glue (I suggest using low heat hot glue for this one. Which I’ll do next time LOL).
• Tape
• 2-Large Wiggly Eyes (I used a size .99in/25mm each eye)
• 1 red pom-pom
• 5-Silver and Gold Jingle Bells (I used size .52in/13mm)
• Bakers Twine
• Scissors
• Black Marker

Directions:

1.  Close and tape the box down. Using the brown kraft paper, wrap the box like you would a present.

2. On the plain/blank side of the gift you will add the decoration.

3. Start by placing the eyes and nose to where you want them to be. Then you start gluing them on the wrapper where you originally had them positioned.

4. Measure the thread making sure it wraps all the way to the back side of the gift box then cut the excess.

5. Thread the bells with the twine. I started with the silver, then gold, silver, and so on. Make sure the bells are centered on the twine. Then tape the ends to the back of the gift box. Arrange the bells to your desired spacing.

6. Using the black marker you will add the eyebrows and mouth.

That’s it! You are done! Super easy and fun to make right? I hope you had fun making it.

Side note: When my kids got home from school they saw this Rudolph I had left on the counter to pick them up from school. They said, “Oooo, that’s awesome!” and another say, “Is this for me?!” I explained it was for the tutorial, but little do they know that this little guy will be waiting for them in a month plus more;)
